Here is my short review about Dior Sauvage Elixir. First of all, I would like to say that I am by no means an expert, and got into the fragrance area just recently. After reading some suggestion online, I went to store and tried few fragrances, and Dior Sauvage line deffinetly got my interest the first time I tried it.
I also have Armaf Hunter Intense which is a mix of Invictus and Dior Sauvage in the drydown , but after maceration there is more going down - like mixture of more blues , even trails of YSL Y or Dylan Blue I have bought Ajmal Zeal for my father which is supposed to be closer to Sauvage EDT - he gave me a small sample of it and it seems legit .Despite smelling the best of the sauvage line, the price point is a slap in the face. It smells like a designer release but at 2.6$/ml that still smells like sauvage. I think it is targeting people that love sauvage and want something "elite". Anyone with a sizeable collection can see at that price there is so much more out there.He doesn’t want women to know he is a freak. But Johnny Depp’s signature fragrance (Sauvage) saved him. Sold his creed, YSL, PDM. all garbage flooding his shelves to make room for the king, and the only thing he needs. Sauvage saved him. Wear Sauvage and rejoice. It is leaking, quite severely. At this moment, I am starting to have serious doubts about Dior’s quality control. I found a few other posts about similar problem. I had been using the fake Dior Sauvage for 3-4 years, I could just throw it in my backpack/suitcase and never even think something like this might happen. Sauvage is one of the most popular and mass marketed fragrences ever. You can bet a lot of the YouTube reviewers are paid for positive reviews as part of this mass marketing. On the other end this sub tends to generally dislike mass marketed frags. Sauvage is a good start compared to the 1990's-early 2000's aquatics a lot of guys are still spritzing around. Or those bottom rack TJMaxx specials. Would recommend sampling D&G The One EDP to get an idea of that reference "cologne smell".
