Based on the ETA 6497/2, the PAM 111 is powered by a hand wound COSC Certified OP XI Calibre. Panerai modifications include a swan neck regulator, 56 hour power reserve, Geneva stripes on the plates, and redesigned bridges. The movement is robust, reliable, and easily serviceable. I’ve found a far better shot is in a full length mirror. Take a shot with either your wrist hand hanging from your side, or with it hand across your chest (imagine doing the pledge of allegiance, if your in the US). I tried on the 38mm blue dial a few months back and I really liked it. I had a base Panerai many years back and I sold it because it was just to big and bulky for my wrist (6.75).
